The History:
This fall, I realized I am really close to turning thirty-years-old. I had never imagined my life after the age of thirty. I remember being a little girl thinking that people who were 30 or in their 30’s were so “grown-up” and “real adults”. After I graduated college and began my career, I still never thought of myself as an adult because in my head you would have to be at least 30 to be a real grown-up. Well, now here I am…staring at 30’s door.
I have had a great 29 years; I have a great husband, family, friends and job. There is nothing to really complain about in my life. But, I did start thinking about my life and I realized that almost everyone I knew was going through some type of life-changing experience besides me. Friends were having babies, getting married or changing careers. I really did not have any life changing events coming up in the next year or so. Like I said, I am already married, have great friends, love my job and am not ready for babies. With that realization, the idea of 30 by 30 came about. Since everyone around me was growing and experiencing new things, I wanted to as well.
The Rules:
(1) I have never been, seen, eaten or experienced the task.
(2) I have to keep a blog about my experience.
(3) Each task must be captured on video.
What I hope to learn:
This experience really is a type of experiment; it is to learn from people who I care about or allowing complete strangers to teach me new things. I want to see places that have some meaning or places I have always wanted to visit. When thinking of 30 by 30, I made a list of passions and hobbies of people in my life and as you will see there are several things on my list that I have to have those people teach me.
