UPDATE!!!
I say Shalom and you say Hello. It is official I have been to a Jewish service. Todd, his mom Bobbi and I decided to go to the Synagogue that Todd use to attend. We got there early and met the Rabbi. The Rabbi was kind enough to give me a blessing. There is a blessing or prayer that is said before one tries something new. Friday night made me realize that I do need to be thankful that I am able to try all of these new things.
You say Shalom, and I say Hello....
Sorry it has been a couple of weeks since my last post. But, I have big news...this Friday I am marking another task off the list. Todd and I are going to Synagogue. I have no idea what it is going to be like but am looking forward to it. To prepare for my visit, I went to see Keeping Up with the Stein's. I thought it was important to do some research and brush up on my Yiddish.
My khokhme (Yiddish for "bright idea") is to get a new outfit to attend Synagogue but Todd assures me that I have plenty of clothes in my closet that will be suitable for the occasion, but the jury is still out... shhhh, don't tell Todd or he will be a kvetsh ("complainer").
I keep asking Todd what the service will be like. But since it has been a good decade since he has stepped into a Synagogue he is no help!!!
Check back on Saturday for the proof! By the way, tomorrow is the nebekh's ("little nerd")Birthday. Happy Birthday, Todd!!! Go Mavs!! Please Please win game 6, the Hypen Steins' will be at the game cheering you and celebrating Todd's birthday.
Signing off... The Goyim (non-Jew)
