What a day... Grandma D taught me to crochet
Since it was too hot to do anything outside, I made an appointment with Todd's grandma to learn to crochet. Sweet Grandma Dorothy and I first hit JoAnn's to get the hooks and yarn. Then it was off to her cute little apartment for my first lesson. The good news is I know what I am going to make. In fact, I have known ever since I found out I was going to be an aunt. Yes, I am going to make Little E (aka: the little boy I will spoil to death) his first blanket.
Grandma Dorothy was a very patient teacher. But after a while I picked it up. Still, every once in a while I'd make an little mistake and Grandma Dorothy made me start over- obviously, she wants Little E to have a perfect blanket.
Here are some pictures of the first few rows of the blanket. Oh my gosh... how am I going to complete this by the time he is born??? I have a feeling I will be working on it before I go to work, at lunch, after work, on Friday nights, Saturday morning, Saturday night... and all day Sunday. I wonder if driving and crocheting is illegal?
Well... back to crocheting. But first, a BIG, BIG, BIG thank you to Grandma Dorothy!!!

Good luck on finishing your blanket in time. Crocheting is something I've been meaning to pick up and never do..

I want a sweater. I will send you the yarn and can you bring it to me when you come to Winter Park for your fly fishing lesson.

okay, did you crochet or knit - cause it looked like you had knitting needles on the news feature about you tonight? Two needles -that's knitting - one hook - that's crocheting!
